Plainville Police Log May 17-26: Several OUIs Reported

The following is from the Plainville Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned they do not indicate Convictions.

Travis Weiss, 35, of Norton, was arrested May 17 at 8:12 p.m. and charged with: Operating After Suspension for OUI; Revoked Registration; and Uninsured Motor Vehicle. The charges stem from a traffic stop on Taunton Street, where Patrol,am Todd Holbrook conducted a stop of Weiss’ vehicle after a check of the license plate revealed no insurance on the vehicle.

Keith Bonica, 34 of Sudbury was arrested May 19 at 12:33 a.m. and charged with: Operating Under the Influence of Alcohol. The charge stems from a report of a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of East Bacon Street and Highland Ave. A pickup truck had struck a utility pole at that location. Sgt Kyle Rockett and Ptl Wayne Cohen responded and conducted the investigation, and after a series of field sobriety tests, determined that Bonica was under the influence of alcohol.

Mario Recinos, 21 of Attleboro was arrested May 19 at 5:04 p.m. and charged with: Operating After License Suspension; and No Inspection Sticker. The charges stem from a traffic stop on Taunton Street, where Ptl Todd Holbrook conducted a stop of Recinos’ vehicle for an expired inspection sticker, and investigation revealed that his license was suspended.

Carlos Garcia, 40 of Providence was arrested May 23 at 5:02 p.m. and charged with: Operating After License Suspension. The charge stems from a traffic stop on Washington Street, where Ptl Todd Holbrook conducted a stop of Garica’s vehicle, and investigation revealed that his license had been suspended for over 10 years. Garcia had also been using a friend’s name when he had been stopped in the past to avoid being arrested.


Bilal Said, 61 of Norfolk was arrested May 24 at 10:22 p.m. and charged with: Operating Under the Influence of Alcohol, Second Offense; and Marked Lanes Violation. The charges stem from an investigation of a past hit and run, and a witness who followed the vehicle into Plainville from North Attleboro. Sgt Kyle Rockett observed the vehicle cross the center line and travel in the opposite lane of travel, and conducted a traffic stop of Said’s vehicle on South Street. After a series of field sobriety tests, it was determined that Said was under the influence of alcohol. Ptl Matthew Webber and David Braley assisted in the investigation.
