According to the Sun Chronicle, Deputy Justin Alexander has been named acting fire chief while Plainville looks for a new head honcho in the department.
Alexander is replacing former chief Ted Joubert, who is taking a job in neighboring North Attleboro.
Selectmen will hold meetings to appoint a search committee to help decide on the new chief. Joubert originally started in North Attleboro and is returning from Plainville after six years of service.
