One Dies in Wrentham Crash

Early morning crash kills one.

An early morning crash on Thurston Street took the life of one person, according to the Wrentham Police Department.

According to a department release, police responded to an accident on the street, near the intersection with Myrtle Street, at 1:15am.

Police said it appeared that a 1998 Buick Century went off the road and into a wooded area, striking several trees. Two people were trapped in the vehicle.

Driver Wendy Eichenger, 49, of Foxborough was extricated from the vehicle and taken to Rhode Island Hospital via Medflight. The passenger, Robert David, 50, of Wrentham, was taken to Norwood Hospital, where he died as a result of his injuries.

The accident is currently being investigated by the police. State Police Accident Reconstruction has responded to the scene.
