On Friday Feb. 9, Michael Theroux, 43 Motyka St. in Ludlow, was arrested after an investigation by Norfolk Detective Nathan Fletcher.

Police allege Theroux had been driving to Norfolk to take an underage teen back to his home in Ludlow for illegal purposes. Theroux allegedly had met and started an on-line relationship with the victim through the internet, where he allegedly represented himself as a 17-yea old boy.

On Friday afternoon, as the blizzard was getting under way, the victim was allegedlly picked up by Theroux and they were headed to Ludlow when police intercepted Theroux’s vehicle.

Theroux was arrested and transported to Norfolk PD for booking. Theroux was held pending arraignment over the weekend without bail due to the nature of the alleged crimes.

He was arraigned and entered a plea of not guilty Monday morning at Wrentham District Court. Bail was set at $2,000 and it was ordered that he wear a GPS monitoring bracelet as a condition of his release.

The investigation is on-going, and is being coordinated with Norfolk and Ludlow Police as well as the Norfolk and Hamden Counties District Attorney’s Offices.
