Man Attempts to Rob 2 Dunkin' Donuts in Plainville

The man, who is still on the loose, was unsuccessful at one shop Wednesday night but got away with $200 at the other.

While Kevin Driscoll of North Attleboro and others were waiting for their friend to get off of work at the Dunkin' Donuts at 82 Taunton Street in Plainville on Wednesday night, he couldn’t have predicted what happened only moments after he left the building. After leaving the shop to wait for his friend, Driscoll witnessed the shop and his friend get held up during an attempted robbery.

“We all left and right after that the guy went into the store, with a needle, walked up to her and said ‘give me all your money,' and pointed the needle right at her,” Driscoll said.

According to eyewitnesses talking to Wrentham Patch and Plainville Police Chief James Alfred, a person described as a white male, with blue eyes, wearing baggie jeans, and a red lifeguard hoodie attempted to rob the Dunkin' Donuts located across the street from Target at approximately 7:00 p.m. The man went into the Dunkin' Donuts and attempted to rob the store with what he claimed to be a hypodermic needle infected with HIV.
