The Franklin Police Department has named two suspects in the recent attempted Dunkin' Donuts robberies. Police suspect that it is the same person that held up two Dunkin' Donuts in Plainville as the incidents in Plainville were similar, if not identical to the one in Franklin.
Two outstanding arrest warrants were issued for Gregory Mansur, D.O.B. 23, and his wife Amanda Mansur, 24, both of Franklin.
According to the press release from the Franklin Police Department:
On Oct. 9, 2012 at approximately 6:17 p.m., Mansur allegedly entered the Dunkin' Donuts located at 490 King Street. Police say he approached the counter and displayed a syringe and demanded money or he would stick the employee with aids infected blood. According to the police report, the employee complied and Mansur left the area on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
The next day at approximately 6:08 p.m., Mansur allegedly entered the Dunkin' Donuts located at 547 East Central St. Again, according to the police report, Mansur approached the counter and displayed a syringe and demanded money or he would stick the employee with AIDS-infected blood. The employee ran out the back of the business and Mansur left the area on foot without any money.
Similar incidents happened at two Plainville Dunkin' Donuts on Oct. 10, according to the police. At approximately 7 p.m. at 82 Taunton Street, a man went to the counter and demanded money or he would stick the employee with what he said was a hypodermic needle infected with HIV.
Ten minutes later, the person went to the Dunkin' Donuts at 86 Washington St. on Rte. 1 after not getting any money at Taunton Street. He escaped the Rte. 1 shop with $200.
According to police, Mansur was last seen on Oct 9, driving a Blue Pontiac Sunfire with Massachusetts license plate. This vehicle is registered to his wife. They have both been seen travelling together. Gregory Mansur is wanted for, armed robbery while masked, assault with a dangerous weapon and assault to rob while armed.
