Foxborough Fire Chief: Investigation Yields No Answers to Wednesday’s Mobile Home Fire

Foxborough Fire Chief Roger Hatfield says an investigation into Wednesday's mobile home fire at Norfolk Park on Washington Street shows no clear cause of what happened.

The amount of has left the without answers to what happened.

Foxborough Fire Chief Roger Hatfield said the investigation of Wednesday’s fire ended with no clear cause.

“Due to the amount of damage and debris, we were not able to determine exactly what the cause of the fire was, but it definitely wasn’t suspicious,” Hatfield said.

With the investigation over, Hatfield said his thoughts go out to the Albuit family, who owned the doublewide mobile home at Unit 25 of 131 Washington St.

“There was only one gentleman living here and I would speculate he’s staying with family,” Hatfield said.

The damage of the mobile home located at Unit 25 of 131 Washington St. was assessed at over $100,000, according to Hatfield.

“The trailer was pretty much a total loss,” he said.

Wrentham Fire Department provided mutual aid on scene at Wednesday's fire.
