According to Wrentham Fire Captain Robert Harrison, the call was received at 11:05am for a single-vehicle accident in the road's southbound lane. The crash, he said, occurred just north of exit 15.

The vehicle had four occupants, three of which were transported to hospitals. One of those (update: a 57-year-old female from Quincy) was taken to Rhode Island Hospital by Medflight helicopter. Two male juveniles were taken to Hasbro Hospital, according to the state police.

Harrison said he would characterize that injury as serious, the others less so.
