Obituary: Michael Thomas Casey

Michael Thomas Casey, 56, of Wrentham, (formerly of Richmond), passed away on Sept. 5.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas R. Casey and is survived by his two children, Thomas and Shelley Casey, and their mother, Polly Casey; his mother, Margaret Peg Casey; his two sisters, Marianne Feeney and her husband Frank, and Susan Jones and her husband Steve; his brother, Bill Casey and his wife Elaine; eight nieces and nephews; and a large extended family that he loved very much.

Mike's presence filled a room, and no occasion was ever complete without his sharp sense of humor and his unending repertoire of jokes. He possessed a sensitivity and generosity of spirit, time and resources for others, second to none. Mike will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Blileys-Central Chapel, 3801 Augusta Avenue, Richhmond, VA with a Prayer Service at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon on Thursday at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, 800 S. Cathedral Place, Richmond, VA. Burial will follow in Hollywood Cemetery.
