Obituary: Maureen Buck, Member of Friends of Norfolk Public Library

Maureen (Melly) Buck, 83, of Lexington, passed away Sept. 15, 2013 with her family close by her side.

She was wife of 59 years to Conrad Buck.  

Maureen was former executive director of the Norfolk Housing Authority for 30 years, PTA officer, CCD teacher for 12 years and presently officer and member of the Friends of the Norfolk Public Library where a room was recently dedicated to her and her husband for their many years of volunteer service.

Maureen leaves her children Jeffrey and his wife Kathleen of Seekonk and Bradford and his wife Diana of Franklin; and her grandchildren Brianna Buck of Istanbul Turkey, Mary Kathryn (Buck) Petrik of Chicago, Ill. and Lisa Kathleen Buck of Franklin. She was preceded in death by her son Gregory and his late wife Mary Spillane of Foxborough.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Maureen’s Life Celebration Thursday, Sept. 19 4 to 8 p.m. and Friday, September, 20  9 to 9:30 a.m. in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common St., Walpole. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Jude’s Church, 86 Main St., Norfolk Friday, Sept. 20 at 10 a.m. Interment will be in the Norfolk Cemetery.
