An avid sports enthusiast, he closely followed all Walpole High School sports. His little portable radio was always on listening to a game., whether it be Walpole, the Bruins, the Patriots or the Red Sox. In his younger years, he would always be on the Walpole High bus going to the Boston Arena to cheer them on.

The last few years he spent time in the Maples in Wrentham and Mirimichi Group in Plainville.
