Obituary: James J. Janiszek of Wrentham

James L. Janiszeski was a retired machinist and a Marine.

 

James J. Janiszeski of Wrentham and formerly of Bellingham died Feb. 7 in Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. He was the husband of Helen (Bandzul) Janiszeski.

Born in Bellingham July 9, 1927, the son of the late Ksawery and Pauline (Welik) Janiszeski, Mr. Janiszeski was raised in Bellingham and had lived in Wrentham for the past 36 years.

Mr. Janiszeski had been a machinist at Thompson Press in Franklin for 30 years before retiring.

He had previously worked at Packard Mills in Carryville.

Mr. Janiszeski had served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War, attaining the rank of Sergeant.

He enjoyed hunting.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Edward Janiszeski of Milton, Carolyn Rainville of Millville and James Janiszeski of Wrentham.

He is also survived by his two grandchildren.

His funeral will be held Wednesday, Feb. 20, from the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 3 Barber St. in Medway at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Brendan’s Church, Bellingham at 10.

Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Medway.

Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the Dialysis Center of Woonsocket, 2100 Diamond Hill Road, Woonsocket, RI 02895.
