Miss Norfolk County to Compete for Miss Massachusetts Crown

Miss Norfolk Country Taylor Kinzler will compete for the chance to be named Miss Massachusetts this weekend in Worcester.

The 73rd annual Miss Massachusetts Scholarship Pageant will once again be held on Friday, June 29 and Saturday, June 30 at the Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts in Worcester.

Representing Norfolk County will be Taylor Kinzler who resides in Lakeville. Kinzler was named Miss Norfolk Country back in April. For winning the crown, Kinzler received a  $1,250 scholarship

If she wins, Kinzler will earn scholarship money and will move on to the Miss America Pageant in 2013 as Miss Massachusetts. Currently, Kinzler has earned over $17,000 in scholarship money due to her participation in the Miss America Scholarship Organization.

Recently completing her sophomore year at the University of Rhode Island, Kinzler is currently studying journalism and hopes to peruse a career in broadcast journalism after graduation.

This year, the popular Online Voting enables viewers at home to help to select the ninth finalist for Saturday’s show.  For only $1.00 per vote, fans may visit the Miss Massachusetts website and cast their vote for the contestant of their choice who they would like to see as the ninth finalist.  Online voting is now taking place until midnight on Friday.  For more details, visit www.missmass.org and click on the Online Voting link.
