Halfway Mark

The soccer season is halfway over, and KP boys’ soccer stands at 4-3-2. The team started slow, but has only lost twice in the last six games; however, KP has shown tremendous improvement over the past 3 weeks. Goalkeeper Colin Settle has remained in top shape, and the defense in front of him has progressed to be one of the strongest defensive lines in the Hockomock League. The offense has really blossomed as well, with Joe Kellet picking up six assists and helping the front line gain some chemistry. KP had a season-changing match against Attleboro on September 24th, storming back for a tie. KP led early off of a Kellet goal, but Attleboro settled in and scored twice. The Warriors were down 2-1 with just under three minutes left when they pulled it back to gain a much needed point. This has been a recurring theme with KP; they will not quit. This should help them later on in the season, and hopefully, in the state tournament.
