Camp Manitou

Recently, the KP boys’ soccer team spent a week up at Camp Manitou in Oakland, Maine. The team has been going there for several years. Other schools from the Massachusetts area, including Mansfield, Norton, Attleboro, and Foxboro, go up as well. During the week, everyone plays on teams with kids from those other schools. Soccer is played every single day, and everyone improves their game. There is high-level coaching from a number of soccer instructors, and every camper receives attention and advice. A lot of time is spent on skill work and ball movement, but there is also time for campers to relax. Manitou is on a lake, and the campers have some time each day to swim and cool off. The food is exceptional, and there is something for everyone to eat. When the week is finished, the players return home ready and eager for the season to start.
