Norwood Hospital Offering Pregnancy Presentations

The hospital will be offering two presentations this spring for local families thinking about getting pregnant, a press release from Norwood Hospital said.

For local couples preparing to start or expand their families, Norwood Hospital is offering special presentations twice this spring to answer their questions.

The hospital’s five obstetricians and nurse leaders will be on hand to address common issues about pregnancy. The events will be held on Wednesday, April 25 and Thursday, May 3 at 7pm in the hospital’s Abraham-Sieracki Conference Room.

“Having a child is a very big decision. We are here to help women and their partners navigate some of the choices they have. We are pleased to let local couples know about the many resources available to them right here in Norwood,” said John H. Al-Jamal, MD, FACOG, chief of obstetrics/gynecology at the hospital.

In addition to meeting with physicians and nurses, couples will be able to tour the Small Miracles Maternity Unit, learn about childbirth education opportunities and hear about additional resources the hospital offers such as Children’s Hospital Boston pediatricians, and its maternal fetal medicine specialist. They will also hear from new parents who have recently delivered their babies at Norwood Hospital and receive tips for a healthy pre-pregnancy lifestyle. Parking is free and light refreshments will be served.

To RSVP for this event, please call DoctorFinder at 800-488-5959 by April 23 for the April 25 session and by May 1 for the May 3 session. You are welcome to leave questions in advance for the physicians, or simply bring them the night of the event.
