United Way Seeking Nominations for Volunteers of the Year

Do you know someone that dedicates their time and talent to making our world a better place?

For the third year in a row, our local United Way is accepting nominations for the 2014 Volunteer of the Year Award honoring local do-gooders for their commitment to volunteerism and passion for creating positive change in our community.

For the first time this year, a second award will be presented, the 2014 Youth Volunteer of the Year, to an area youth attending a local high school between the ages 12 and 18, who exemplifies the spirit and commitment of improving the quality of life for others in the community.

Volunteers selected for 2014 Volunteer of the Year and 2014 Youth Volunteer of the Year Awards will be recognized at the United Way’s 2014 Recognition Event, In Focus: Gaining a New Perspective on our Community the morning of Thursday, April 10 at the  Sheraton Framingham.

The United Way of Tri-County serves 34 communities in three counties, Norfolk, Middlesex and Worcester, including Wrentham.

Nominations can be submitted through the United Way of Tri-County’s website at http://www.uwotc.org/nominate.

The deadline to submit an application is Feb. 28.
