Winter Storm Watch Issued for Halloween Weekend

Parts of New England could see as many as six inches Saturday night.

Mother Nature seems to be handing out the 'trick' rather than the 'treat' this weekend for many area towns.

According to the National Weather Service, a winter storm watch has been issued for much of New England starting Saturday afternoon and continuing through Sunday morning.

Eastern Massachusetts is predicted to get rain turning to wet snow in accumulations of 2-6 inches, mostly in the late evening Saturday. The NWS said that at this time confidence is not high enough to change the watch to a storm warning, but that winds and precipitation could make for hazardous conditions.
