Week in Review: Website, Unemployment and Town Admin Renewed

Looking back at the week of Jan. 16 - Jan. 21.

1. The Wrentham Board of Selectmen met on Tuesday night, and for two more years. The renewal was based on the selectmen rating his performance as "exceeds expectations."

2. The selectmen also heard a presentation on , which has been encountering problems lately. Town Clerk Carol Mollica told the board that the town needs a way to post meeting notices where they can be read 24 hours a day.

3. The town is also looking at , which would give it greater flexibility in local governance. Ketcham said there were two ways to do so: creating a charter commission or petitioning the state legislature.

4. The state of Massachusetts saw its drop again in the month of December. The rate fell from 7 percent to 6.8 percent. Local numbers will be available this coming Tuesday.
