Wrentham Planning Board Allows Midnight Madness on the Condition Cameras are Installed

For shoppers who enjoy the thrill of starting Black Friday at the stroke of midnight, the good news is that for now it looks like the Midnight Madness event at the Wrentham Village Premium Outlets will go on at least this year.

After almost three hours of discussion and deliberation, the Wrentham Planning Board voted 7-0 to allow the Wrentham Village Premium Outlets to hold the annual event where stores open at 12:01 a.m. on the day after Thanksgiving on the condition that 10 security cameras are installed and operating at the request and satisfaction of Wrentham Police Chief James Anderson. The decision comes after the board threaten to revoke the special permit that allows for Midnight Madness if cameras were not installed by Black Friday.

The changes in Wrentham's trash pickup were noticed when they started last month. As chairman Joe Botaish mentioned, he heard plenty of complaints during Wrentham Day. To help explain why there seems to be a difference in quality since Waste Management took over, Michael Lavin was asked to come in front of the board to help clarify the differences.

According to Lavin, the main difference between American Waste, the town’s previous trash collector and the current collector, Waste Management is that Waste Management is less lenient on the rules that existed even when the town used American Waste.

“The only real change that started with the flyer was the change in the telephone number,” said Lavin who was referring to Waste Management's phone number featured on a flyer distributed to alert residents of the change in trash pickup.

Norfolk Police Arrest Two in Connection with Recent Break-ins

The Norfolk Police Department yesterday announced that they have made two arrests connected to a series of recent housebreaks.

Ryan Traunt, 19 of Milford and Sara Sherillo, 22 of Milford were both arrested by Norfolk Police Detective Nathan Fletcher Wednesday afternoon near the Medway/Millis boarder after a tip led them to their vehicle that matched the description given by one of their victims.

Traunt is being charged with three counts of daytime breaking and entering with intent to commit a felony and conspiracy to commit a crime. Sherillo is charged with charged with conspiracy to commit a crime and being an accessory before the fact.

Disney Store and BareMinerals Coming to Wrentham Village Premium Outlets

The Wrentham Village Premium Outlets has announced that two new stores will be opening in the next few weeks.

On October 20, the Disney Store Outlet will have their grand opening. 

The seller of merchandise from Disney and now properties from Marvel Entertainment will give out free Mickey Mouse Ears to the first 500 guests. 

The Disney Store will be located on Freedom Court which can be entered between Banana Republic and Reebok.

Two weeks later, BareMinderals will open for business, which is located at the end of Freedom Court, near Eddie Bauer.

Feds Searching New England Compounding Center

U.S. Food and Drug Administration officers are at the New England Compounding Center, which is co-owned by Wrentham resident Barry Cadden. Federal agents are serving a search warrant to the Framingham specialty pharmacy, linked to the national, deadly meningitis outbreak.

"I can confirm that this office and our law enforcement partners are investigating allegations concerning the New England Compounding Center. I think that it is entirely premature to suggest what the results of the investigation will be," said Christina Sterling, a spokesperson for the U.S. Attorney's Office.

Agents with blue jackets bearing the yellow letters “FDA OCI” are going in and out of the brick office building on Waverly Road. The initials stand for the FDA Office of Criminal Investigations, reported Boston.com.
