Week in Review: Business Closing, Utility Bill and Selectmen Race

Looking back at the week of Feb. 12 - Feb. 18.

1. The deadline to run for town office in the April election was on Monday. Three candidates — Charles Kennedy, George R. Smith and incumbent Stephen Langley — filed for two seats on the Board of Selectmen.

2. The Bambi's Vive Le Chic store in the center of Wrentham will be closing, according to a statement released by the store on Tuesday. The business will be moving online.

3. The Massachusetts State Senate passed a bill on Thursday looking to improve utility company response during emergencies. The bill came in the wake of prolonged outages following Tropical Storm Irene and the Snowtober storm.

4. The Wrentham Elementary School District is moving forward with its budget process. Superintendent Jeffrey Marsden said the committee would be considering either a level-service budget or the superintendent's recommended budget.

5. The KP boys basketball team defeated Attleboro, while the hockey team lost to Nauset.
