Terrace Cafe Hosting New Artist Thursday

The Terrace Café is continuing its monthly event to showcase artists, and this month it’s the water color artist Richard Denzer.

Denzer, an artist for more than 30 years, has also shown his paintings at the Rhode Island watercolor Society Gallery in Pawtucket as well as the Zullo Gallery in Medfield.

Terrace Café owner Nancy Lockwood said she loves supporting local artists, musicians and singers as much as she can.

“We’ve been doing it since we opened and we have a new gallery every month,” she said. “We kind of just put it out there and it just went. There’s been a lot of interest in it.”

Lockwood said she loves local arts and wants to help people show their work. She said she feels it helps fill a void in the downtown, as there are no galleries in the middle of Wrentham.

“It’s really great work too,” she said. “It’s awesome that we can get it up and help showcase.”

The gallery will open on July 11 and have a wine and cheese reception from 7-9 p.m.
