Plainville Police Track Traffic on Two Streets

The Plainville Police Department conducted radar sign recording from June 20-28 at West Bacon St., pointing eastbound and 7 Mirimichi St.
On West Bacon Street, they recorded 22,350 vehicles with an average speed of 32 miles per hour in a 25 miles per hour zone, according to information on the Facebook page.
The heaviest traffic day was Fridays, June 21 and 28, as there were 2,920 vehicles. During the 3-4 p.m. hour on both days, they were 340 vehicles.
At 7 Mirimichi St., pointing westbound, they recorded 8,403 vehicles with an average speed of 27 miles per hour in a 25 miles an hour zone.Saturday, June 22, was the heaviest traffic day with 1,142 vehicles, while the busiest hour was Wednesday, June 26, at 5-6 p.m. with 118 vehicles.
