National Weather Service Issues Flood Warning

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning in Bristol County, including  until 1 p.m. and a flash flood watch until 6 p.m.

The weather service said the dopler radar produced heavy rains heading towards the area. 

The service said urban areas, highways, underpasses and low lying spots are in particular danger.

Here's the weather from the National Weather Service...

  •  Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly between 2pm and 5pm, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 5pm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Cloudy, with a high near 87. Southwest wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

  • Tonight A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Patchy fog after 10pm. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 67. Southwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
