Spring will officially be here this week, and there's lots to celebrate. Here are a few outings for some fun family time!

Thanks to Disney, most families are familiar with the story of “Beauty and the Beast.” This weekend, you can catch a live reenactment of ‘The Enchantment of Beauty and the Beast'  on March 18 at 7:30pm and March 19 and March 20 at 2pm at 240 East Street in Mansfield. Admission is $10 for adults and $8 for children.

Start your weekend with some outdoor fun at Stony Brook Sanctuary in Norfolk on Saturday, March 19 at 10:30am. This month’s Turtle Trekkers theme is “Blowing in the Wind” and participants will explore the grounds, make a craft and enjoy other activities meant to get all ages excited about nature. Suitable for ages 3 to 6. Admission is just $12 for adult/child pairs. Registration is required.

Spring officially arrives this week, and to welcome the season bring your family to the fabulous Boston Flower Show. The Massachusetts Horticultural Society’s Greenway Gardens Blooms flower show is being held at Seaport World Trade Center from March 16 – 20. With incredible displays, colors and smells, young children will have each of their senses amused. Admission is $20 for adults and $10 for children. This year's show theme will explore every facet of one of the most popular and enjoyable gardening trends around: container gardening.

St. Patrick’s Day will extend into the weekend. The annual free celebration at John F. Kennedy Library & Museum (Columbia Point, Boston) is being held on Saturday, March 19 at 10:30am. Did you know the harp is the official symbol of Ireland? The New England Irish Harp Orchestra and Réagánta will be performing traditional music on harps and bring Ireland to Boston To reserve your space, call 617-514-1646.

The Harlem Globetrotters have played more than 25,000 games, entertaining everyone from presidents to popes. Bring out the whole family for an afternoon of fun on Sunday, March 20 at the DCU Center (50 Foster Street, Worcester) at 2pm. The team is back for their historic 2011 "4 Times the Fun" tour featuring the first-ever four-point shot! Witness basketball history, and enjoy a show slam-packed with high scores, theatrics and fun for everyone!
