The Milford Area Chamber of Commerce will host the 2011 expo on Saturday, March 26 from 10am to 4pm at Blackstone Valley Tech H.S. (65 Pleasant Street, Upton). The event is jam-packed with free family fun including door prizes, live animal shows, appearences by Wall the green Monster, the Easter Bunny and the Pawsox mascot. Parents can check out recession-buster deals for homes and businesses while their kids are entertained for FREE .

Want a little time away from planet Earth? The Claflin Hill Symphony Orchestra will present a family performance "Cosmos: Music from Outer Space” on Sunday, March 27 at 3pm at Milford Town Hall (52 Main Street, Milford). Featuring music depicting outer space, including "The Planets,” the orchestra will be joined by the Metrowest Youth Symphony Orchestra.  Your children can get some hands-on experience with instruments at the Instrumental Petting Zoo offered before and after the concert. Tickets, $12 adults; $8 students and seniors.

You’ve never seen Green Ham and Eggs like this before? The Franklin Performing Arts will present an Opera for Kids on March 27 at 3 p.m. in the recital hall at the Franklin School of Performing Arts.  This favorite Dr. Seuss tale will presented as one-act plays and you can enjoy it for free!

There’s no better way to bid farewell to winter than lacing up those ice skates one more time. FMC Ice Sports (910 Panther Way, Franklin) will host a “Spring Fling” public skate on Sunday, March 27 from 2:40pm to 4:30 pm.  Come skate with friends as their live rinkside DJ's takes your musical requests. Admission is $5.

Lowe’s of Plainville (201 Washington Street) is offering a free event on Saturday, March 26  at 10am. Kids will get a chance to build a Fortune Teller Kit that they can use later to make fun predictions! The first 50 children to register and be present at the store at 10am will receive a kit, apron and goggles.

One of Boston’s many fun city tours, the Boston Duck Tours officially opened this week offering tours on a WWII style amphibious landing vehicle. You can your family can cruise by all places that make Boston the birthplace of freedom and then you head for the a splashdown in the Charles River. Their site offers some cool ways to save money and enjoy the city. For instance after riding the duck tours you can get $5 off admission to the Museum of Science.
