Antiques Appraisal at Fiske Public Library

Where/When: Fiske Public Library. Saturday, March 5, 11am-2pm

What is it?: Paul Royka, from "The Antiques Road Show," will be coming to the Fiske Library this Saturday to appraise antiques.

The event is sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

Price: $10 per item, with three items for $25. Those organizing the event have asked people not to bring firearms, coins or jewelry.

Stony Brook Presents: Science and Cooking

Where/When: Stony Brook, 108 North St, Norfolk, MA. Saturday, March 5, 1pm-3pm

What is it?: The Stony Brook Sanctuary invites people to explore the various states of matter and the science of cooking. Ages 4 and up

Pre-registration is required. Those interested can visit the Mass Audubon website (www.massaudubon.org) or call 508-528-3140.

Price: $10 for members, $13 for non-members.

Genealogy Lecture:Kilroy was Here!

Where/When: Irish Cultural Center of New England, 200 New Boston Drive, Canton. Friday, March 4, 2011 at 8pm.

What is it?: A genealogy case of a WWII phenomenon.  Please call the ICC at 781-821-8291 to purchase your tickets.

Price: $10 for ICC Members, $15 General Admission.

Where/When: March 4-6 at Gillette Stadium.

Prices at the door are $5/members and $10/non-members.

It’s Magic

Where/When: Sunday, March 6 at 1 p.m. at , 445 Central Street

What is it?: Local magician David Rysin will be holding a family-friendly magic show on Sunday. Some children in the audience may get a chance to participate in the show.

Every ticket holder will be entered into a RAFFLE for: A "Lunch for Two" at Peppercorns Restaurant in the Old Colony YMCA.

First 40 Tickets Purchased will receive a coupon for a FREE Bloomin' Onion Appetizer.

Price: $8 for tickets, $6 for YMCA members.
