Five Things You Need to Know March 14

Don't forget the Easter Grass Drive at the Wrentham Food Pantry.

 

1. Today's weather will be a little windy and chilly and there will be more clouds than sun, according to WHDH. A few flurries are possible. It will be in the upper 30s to low 40s. 

2. The Fiske Library and the Wrentham Food Pantry are partnering in an Easter Grass Drive until March 20. A box from the Wrentham Food Pantry will in in the Fiske entry way for collection of any grass fill  to be put into baskets distributed to registered children of the Wrentham Food Pantry. Small toys and candy treats are also accepted and appreciated. Contact Denise Angerame 508-241-5185 or the WFP 508-384-1342 with any questions.

3. The Sons of the Wrentham American Legion Post 225 (592 South St.) will be hosting a St. Patrick's Day Semi-Formal and all are welcome to attend. The event is on March 16 and starts at 7 p.m. Tickets will be $10 at the door. The menu includes a corned beef dinner, and there will be a DJ/Karaoke, semi-formal king and queen contest, dancing and a photographer to capture the event.

4. The Wrentham Premium Outlets will have St. Patrick's Day Entertainment, Sunday, March 17, from noon-1:30 p.m.  A bagpiper will stroll throughout the center entertaining shoppers with traditional Irish music.

5. 5. The Plainville Athletic League will be holding a facility cleanup, Saturday, March 16, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. You are asked to bring shovels, prong rakes, leaf rakes, pick axes, grub hoes, wheel barrows and chain saws. A pizza lunch will be served. Anytime you can volunteer, it is appreciated.
