Five Things You Need to Know: April 12:Japanese Tea Set For Sunday

The Old Fiske Museum will be the site of a Japanese Tea Sunday.

1. A Japanese Tea will be held at the Old Fiske Museum Sunday, April 14, from 2-5 p.m. You will learn to write a Haiku, play a Japanese folk song, learn about the Japanese Tea ceremony, paint Japanese calligraphy, learn greetings in Japanese, and more in the Cultural Council Gallery. The event is sponsored by the Wrentham Cultural Council. 2. The King Philip Youth Lacrosse's Learn to Play program will start outdoors on April 14, weather permitting from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Players will learn the game from coaches and members of the King Philip High boys' and girls' lacrosse teams.

3. .The Norfolk County Mosquito Control District will be conducting helicopter applications for two to three days anytime between April 16, through April 26, These applications will be conducted over specific large wetlands in town. 4. The Wrentham Lions Club is sponsoring their 17th Annual Spring Duathlon on Sunday, April 14, at the Crackerbarrel Fairgrounds at the Wrentham Developmental Center (WDC), 498 Emerald Street, Wrentham, MA. Race starts at 8:30 a.m. Advanced registration (preferred) via www.firm-racing.com or on site starting at 6:45 a.m. .
