Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoons baking soda
  • 3/4 teaspoons kosher salt
  • two tablespoons cold butter diced
  • 1 tablespoons caraway seeds
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk

Mix flour, sugar, baking soda and kosher salt in a bowl. Work in butter by hand. Add raisins and caraway seeds. Mix in buttermilk. Pat out the dough until 1 inch thick; cut into four to six 2 1/2-inch rounds. Bake at 375 degrees F, 15 to 20 minutes.
