Ayla Brown to Perform With Boston Pops on Fourth of July

Wrentham's Ayla Brown will be part of the Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular Thursday night at the Charles River Esplanade.
Brown will singing two songs, including one about Wrentham, "Hero in Her Hometown" and "Pride of America."
“I am so honored to have the opportunity to perform with the Boston Pops again,” said Brown on her Facebook page. “This is the first year (in many) that it’s just Boston-based musicians, which is so important. With all of the bombings that happened during Marathon Monday, this is the perfect event to come out and show your support for the wonderful city of Boston. I grew up in Wrentham, I went to Boston College, I have ties in this community, and I’m so excited for this performance with the Pops!”
Other performers include Susan Tedeschi, Ellis Hall and Howie Day, the Tanglewood Festival Chorus and conductor Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra.
The event will be shown on CBS Boston's WBZ-TV, from 7-10 p.m.
