5 Things You Should Know Today: September 1

Here's what's happening around town today, Thursday, September 1.

1. The first day of school for all students in the King Philip Regional School District has been rescheduled to Tuesday, September 6th. This is for both the Middle School and High School Students.  Please be aware if the High School remains without power on Tuesday, September 6 th the opening day of school may be adjusted again.

2. Wrentham residents may bring their brush debris from the storm to the DPW Brush Dump during normal working hours or the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month. The Brush Dump will be open on Saturday, September 3 from 8am to 4pm. Please note — There will be no curbside brush removal.

3. The Wrentham  will hold a today from 1pm to 3pm. The cost of the program is $2.

4. Fiske Library is accepting registrations for their (ages 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 in Mom, Dad or caregiver’s lap) or Preschool Storytime (ages 3 1/2 to K) Programs.  Both programs are filled with stories, songs, poems and parachute play. Call 384-5440 ext. 21, or stop in the Children’s Dept. and see Miss Liz to sign up. Program is free but food donations for the Wrentham Food Pantry gratefully accepted.
