5 Things You Need to Know: May 5-6, Wrentham Lions to Raise Money for the Blind

The King Philip Boosters Club will be hosting a basketball game, featuring members of the New England Patriots, Tuesday.

1.  The Wrentham Lions Club is hosting its annual Toll Road on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Wrentham Center.T he event, designed to recognize White Cane Day, is to raise funds for the Perkins School of the Blind, The National Braille Press and the Clara Barton Diabetes for Children.

2. The King Philip DARE Support Group will host a Dough Raiser at the UNO Restaurant at the entrance to the Wrentham outlets May 7, 8 and 9. Dine-in or take-out on these dates, present a coupon and up to 20-percent of the amount you spend will help fund the DARE program in the KP Middle School. 

3. The King Philip Boosters Club is hosting a charity basketball game with current New England Patriot players Tuesday, May 7, at 7 p.m. at the King Philip High School. The Patriots will be facing a team of KP coaches and administration. All proceeds benefit the King Philip Booster Club.

4. The Lego Club will be meeting at the Fiske Public Library in Wrentham, Saturday from 2:30-3:45 p.m. You can just drop in. It will be in the SWEATT Meeting Room.

5. Sign up for swimming less and recreation summer playground camp in Wrentham Saturday at the Wrentham Town Hall, first floor lobby, from 9:30-11 a.m. For more information, go to the town's recreation department's page.
