5 Things Weekend Edition: Santa is Coming to Town,

It's the weekend and here are the five things you need to know.

1. This Weekend's Weather from the National Weather Service

  • Saturday: Rain, mainly before 3pm. Patchy fog after 11am. High near 48. Light and variable wind. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
  • Saturday Night: A chance of showers, mainly before 7pm. Patchy fog. Otherwise, cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 36. Calm wind becoming west around 6 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
  • Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 51. Northwest wind 5 to 7 mph becoming northeast in the afternoon.
  • Sunday Night: A chance of showers. Cloudy, with a low around 37. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

 

2. Breakfast with Santa at the Proctor Mansion

3. Santa Stroll This Saturday

On Saturday, December 8 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Santa will stroll the downtown businesses offering holiday cheer and accepting children’s holiday wish lists.

In addition to Santa’s downtown appearance, several other holiday activities downtown will take place, including

§  Free photo opportunities with Santa throughout the day

§  A hot cocoa stand run by Wrentham elementary school children to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project

§  A ‘Toys for Tots’ toy collection at Absolute Chiropractic now through Dec. 21st

§  Family-friendly activities at The Terrace Café to help King Philip DECA students raise funds for shipping packages to the military

§  Proceeds from a ‘cup of cheer’ from The Terrace Café’s beer line will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project 

 

4. King Philip Sports this Weekend

  • Girls Hockey vs. Canton @ Foxboro Sports Center
  • Indoor Track vs. Mansfield @ Reggie Lewis Center, Boston
  • Wrestling will host a tournament to start the season

 

5. Live Music at the Tavern

The Tavern at Wrentham will be hosting Mike Miano on Saturday night at 8:00 p.m. The singer will be performing standards from the Rat Pack.
