5 Things: Botaish to Run for Reelection, Live Music at Patriot Place and More

It's Friday, December 21 and here are the five things you need to know!

1. Today's Weather from the National Weather Service

  • Today: Showers. Patchy fog before 4pm. High near 50. Breezy, with a east wind 14 to 21 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 44 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
  • Tonight: Rain showers likely before midnight, then a chance of snow showers. Patchy fog between 1am and 2am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 32. Southwest wind 6 to 9 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

3. Botaish to seek reelection

Adding to the incumbents running for reelection in the next town election, Wrentham Board of Selectmen Chairman Joe Botaish has decided to run a second term in April's town election. Botaish is one of two selectmen up who's term expires in 2013 along with Gail Pratt.

 

4. Terrace Cafe Taking Reservations for New Year's Eve

Looking to go out to celebrate the new year but don't want to go far? The Terrace Cafe in Downtown Wrentham is currently taking reservations for the final night of 2012. The four course meal and champagne toast is $50 per person. Reservations are required for the evening.

 

5. Live Music at Patriot Place Tonight

  • At 8 p.m. at Showcase Live, Lou Gramm - The Voice of Foreigne performs. Lou Gramm is one of the most successful vocalists in rock-n-roll. Come see him at Showcase Live.
  • At 9:30 p.m. at Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar and Grill, Walkin' the line takes the stage. Walkin’ the line brings years of experience with some of the best bands around and have opened for Country legends like Charlie Daniels, Lorrie Morgan, & Travis Tritt to name a few
