For the year to date, Wrentham home sales fell from 11 to six.

Massachusetts also saw a home-sales decline, undergoing a drop of 15.7 percent. According to The Warren Group, the 1,746 homes sold figure in February 2011 is the lowest total since they began tracking data in 1987.

"The local housing market has hit a bump in the road," group CEO Timothy Warren Jr. said in a statement. "Sales dropped sharply in Februray, and we could see that pattern continue through the spring months ahead."

Warren said in the statement that the inclement winter weather might have driven home shopping down.
