Showcase Live to End Musical Acts at Patriot Place Location in 2013

National Amusement Inc. has informed Patriot Place it will no longer book musical acts at Showcase Live in Foxborough beginning in 2013.

Showcase Live, a 16,000-square-foot entertainment venue at Patriot Place in Foxborough is stopping the music in 2013 to focus on booking special events and private parties, according to its operating company, National Amusements Inc.

“We are currently evaluating our live music programming,” National Amusements said in a statement to Foxborough Patch Tuesday morning. “We will continue to operate Showcase Live, hosting special events and corporate meetings at the venue. We are working to find alternative employment opportunities within our organization for any employees affected by this policy change.”

Patriot Place General Manager Brian Earley confirmed National Amusement’s decision will impact the venue at Patriot Place.

“National Amusements has informed us that they (Showcase Live) plan to focus more on their special events and meetings business, which has become a real strength at their venue as well as others within the complex,” Earley said.

Showcase Live has hosted numerous musical acts monthly since opening in August 2008 and 25 musical acts scheduled the venue before the changes take effect in 2013.
