Newly started foreclosures fell in June in Wrentham, though completed foreclosures increased, according to data released today.

Timothy Warren, the group's CEO, said a backlog may be keeping the numbers down.

"The steep decline in yearly foreclosure activity shows there is still a glut of foreclosed properties on the banks' books," he said in a statement. "A housing market recovery won't be complete until these foreclosures work through the system."
