How Do the King Philip Towns Rank in Millionaire Study?

Out of Norfolk, Plainville and Wrentham, Norfolk has the most millionaires, according to the Boston Business Journal.

According to data compiled by the Boston Business Journal, Norfolk is ranked ahead of Plainville and Wrentham in terms of the number of millionaire filers, based on 2010 state tax data.

Norfolk is rated 55th out of the 351 cities and towns in Massachusetts.

In Norfolk, there was 29 millionaires out of the 11,227 residents recorded. The average millionaire recorded earning of $2,468,000. For every millionaire, there were 387 citizens.

Wrentham was able to crack the top 100 at 85th with 17 millionaries and the average of $2,967,000, the most out of the town in the King Philip District. The town had 10,955 residents, which gave them avarage of 644 residents per millionaire.

Plainville had three millionaires recorded with an average of $2,468,000 and were rated 187th. With a recorded population of 8,264, there were 2,754 millionaries per resident.

Statewide, there were more than 10,000 millionaire filers in 2010, with a combined reported income of more than $36 billion, according to the Boston Business Journal.

The publication reports Boston and Newton have the highest total number of millionaire filers, while Weston has the most millionaire filers on a per capita basis (one out of every 27 residents).
