Cupcake Charlie's Celebrates Sweet Opening in Foxborough

Cupcake Charlie's is now open for business at Patriot Place in Foxborough after a successful grand opening celebration Saturday.

The family event featured cupcake giveaways, face painting, a photo booth, DJ and games for childern.

"Huge success here in Foxborough," Cupcake Charlie's said of its grand opening via its Facebook page.

The award-winning, Massachusetts-based gourmet cupcake bakery has brought its delicious, sweet treats in a fun, festive atmosphere to Foxborough and judging by the line Saturday the business is off to a piping hot start.

“Cupcake Charlie’s has been a highly anticipated addition to the Patriot Place tenant lineup,” said Patriot Place General Manager Brian Earley. “We are excited to open the doors to yet another family owned business with roots in the local community. Cupcake Charlie’s serves as the perfect complement to our North Marketplace.”

The Foxborough location is Cupcake Charlie's fourth. The franchise also does business at The Mashpee Commons on Cape Cod, the Plymouth Waterfront in Plymouth and the Brick Market Place down in Newport, R.I.

The bakery has appeared on an episode of the Food Network's Cupcake Wars, has won "Best Signature Cupcake of Rhode Island" and has been voted "Best Bakery" numerous times.

Cupcake Charlie's takes pride in its homemade, hand decorated cupcakes. The bakery produces 16 daily menu flavors and offers a different "Flavor of the Day" chosen from over 130 recipes. Saturday's "Flavor of the Day' in Foxborough was Boston Cream Pie (see photo in the gallery above).

Cupcake fans rave about the business' Hostess with the Mostess, a homemade take on the classic sweet treat. It is a rich chocolate cake filled with cream filling and dipped in chocolate ganache. Other favorites include the Lemon Drop, Rockin' Red Velvet, Peanut Butter Pleasure and Chocolate Raspberry Surprise.
