Christina's Fireside Grille Set to Close at End of Month

At the end of June, Christina's Fireside Grille on Route 1 in Foxborough will be closing, according to a report in the Boston Herald.

Christina's Fireside Grille and the function hall is facing closure at the end of the month, according to a report in the Boston Herald Tuesday, leaving about 80 fulltime and part-time employees out of work. Weddings and other events are scrambling for a new venue.

“First, we’re trying to make sure our employees land well,” said Chris Spinazzola in the Boston Herald report. “Second, we’re concerned about the contracts we have booked. We’re working to get a personal call or note or email to each of those people. Then, we’re focused on us.”

Spinazzola ran Christina's along with his wife, Marjorie Clapprood, a former politician and talk show host. They had been leasing the Route 1 property for 12 years. They are considering opening up another business.

According to the Boston Herald, landlord Nicholas Panagopoulos declined comment and his attorney did not return a call.
