5 Things You Should Know Today: September 9

Here's what's happening around town today, Friday, September 9.

Five Things You Need To Know Today is a Patch column that provides readers with essential, daily information at a glance.

1.  Warriors games today: 

  • The KP girls varsity soccer team hosts Franklin at 3:30pm.
  • The KP boys varsity soccer team will travel to Franklin for a 3:30 match.
  • The KP boys varsity football team opens their season at home against Wayland at 7pm.
  • The KP girls varsity volleyball team will travel to Franklin for a 6pmgame.

2. The  will hold two Baby/Toddler Playgroups today. Birth to pre-walkers with Mom, Dad or caregiver will meet at 9:30am. Toddlers (walkers) to ages 2½ with Mom, Dad or caregiver will meet at 10:30am. Playgroups are held in the Sweatt Meeting Room. No registration required.

3. The White Barn Farm Roadside Stand will be open today from 3pm to 7pm offering an array of seasonal vegetables grown right at the Farm.

4.  The "What's Cooking" Chef Series at the Wrentham Premium Outlets continues with: "Seafood Splendor" at the Calphalon Kitchen Outlet- Suite 642.  From 5 pm - 7 pm seafood experts from Whole Foods Market will demonstrates the simplicity of cooking and preparing fresh seafood at home.
