Sweat Beach Preparing to Open in Wrentham

Wrentham preparing to open Sweat Beach.

Sweatt Beach is preparing to open for the summer season in Wrentham.

The beach will open on June 15, and will remain open seven days a week until Aug. 25. The beach has seen extensive renovations, thanks to local boy scout projects and donations from the Sweatt Fund.

The beach will be open to Wrentham, Norfolk and Plainville residents for swimming and recreation.

Seasonal family passes are available for a fee: Wrentham residents $125.00; Norfolk and Plainville residents $150.00; daily fees are $4 for adults and $3 for children, regardless of residency.

Sweatt Beach on Lake Pearl off Woolford Road is open to Wrentham, Norfolk and Plainville residents for swimming and recreation. Hours, depending upon the weather, are weekdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Seasonal passes are available; daily fees are $4 for adults and $3 for children, regardless of residency.

Passes will be sold in the town hall lobby on the following dates: Saturday May 11, 2013   9:30-11 a.m.

Passes will also be available for purchase at the beach beginning June 15.  Payment by check or cash only.
