NWS: Strong to Severe Thunderstorms Possible in Wrentham Wednesday Through Saturday

The National Weather Service is reporting large hail and heavy rain may accompany storms in the Wrentham area the next few days.

A stretch of warm and hazy weather conditions will likely lead to the possibility of heavy showers and thunderstorms over the next few days, according to the National Weather Service.

The NWS is predicting severe weather in Wrentham, which may include hail, thunderstorms and heavy rain leading to flooding, over the next few days.

Beginning Wednesday night, the NWS says scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible in Wrentham, likely after 10 p.m. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent..

Thursday's weather calls for a chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 9 a.m. with a 40 percent chance of precipitation.

The area will see a break during the day Friday with sunny conditions expected before more rain and thunderstorms roll through the region Friday night, mainly after 1 a.m., according to the NWS.

Saturday also calls for a similar chance of showers and thunderstorms.

With multiple storms expected to pass through the area in the coming days, The NWS has issued the following Hazardous Weather Outlook:

"Isolated thunderstorms [Wednesday] and [Wednesday night] could be strong with potential for strong winds, hail and localized flash flooding. Thursday morning and early afternoon - a few thunderstorms late in the afternoon and evening on both Friday and Saturday could be strong to severe with damaging winds, large hail and localized heavy downpours. Spotter activation may be needed Wednesday. Be prepared to report any flooding, strong winds or hail to the National Weather Service."

Earlier Wednesday, the NWS issued a flood advisory for many communities, including Wrentham after strong thunderstorms barreled through the area, dropping heavy rain on the region.

On Friday and Saturday, any storms that develop could turn severe, with damaging wind, large hail and downpours.
