Concert on the Common: listen to the upbeat and jazzy sounds of the Dixie Diehards on the Wrentham Town Park, Aug. 11, 6:30 -8:30 p.m. Bring a blanket or comfortable chair, even a picnic, and enjoy a FREE evening the entire family will enjoy!
Live Music/Trivia: there are a few great options this weekend at local pubs to relax and listen to some great live bands. The Chieftain Pub will host Liz & Danielle, Friday, Aug. 9, and the Celtic Clan on Saturday, Aug. 10. Both shows begin at 9:30 p.m. The Chieftain Pub is located at 23 Washington St., (Rte. 1), Plainville and the pub is open 11:30 a.m.-12:30 a.m.
Jon King Roberts will perform at the Tavern from Tower Square, Saturday, Aug. 10, 7-11 p.m. For reservations, call 508-699-7600. The Tavern is located at 199 Washington St., (Rte. 1), Plainville. Sunday, August 11, grab a few friends and form a team for a night of trivia. The games begin at 7 p.m.

No need to worry about family boredom while shopping. Both days, 1-3 p.m., there will be live musical entertainment at Heritage Court. On Saturday, McAlister Drive will be performing while the Jo-Lee Jazz Band will have everyone dancing in the aisles on Sunday.
Skip Traffic; Spend a Day at a Local Beach: Sweatt Beach on Lake Pearl is a local gem that will provide a day of fun and relaxation for the entire family. The best part? No traffic. Sweatt Beach is conveniently located off Woolford Rd., in Wrentham, and welcomes Wrentham, Norfolk and Plainville residents for swimming and recreation. The beach is open daily 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Daily fees are $4 for adults and $3 for children. 
Be sure to bring along proof of residency.
Just Over The Border:Book Signing/Live Fish Feeding: Bass Pro Shops, in Foxboro, is offering two events this weekend: on Saturday, Aug. 10, at 1:30 p.m., there is a live fish feeding and informational demonstration at the 34,000 gallon freshwater educational aquarium filled with over 400 native New England fish. Bass Pro Shops also has a 5,500 gallon turtle pond and a 3,800 gallon trout pool Great FREE entertainment for the entire family!
On Sunday, Aug. 11, celebrity chef Ben Sargent will be holding a two-hour cooking demonstration and book signing of his new cookbook, 'The Catch,' (also available for purchase). Sargent, a Cambridge native and host of the Cooking Channel's hit show, 'Hook Line and Dinner,' will be cooking on camping stoves from noon-2 p.m. This is a FREE event.
