5 Things: KP Football starts, Wrentham Day, and More!

It's Friday and here are the 5 things you need to know!

1. Mostly Sunny with a Slight Chance of Showers

According to the National Weather Service, there is a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. with a high near 83 degrees.  Despite the chance of thunderstorms, it should be a mostly sunny day.

The evening forecast calls for a low of 65 degrees and a partly cloudy night.

2. Registration Open at Young Artist's Studio

The Young Artist’s Studio is still accepting registrations for a select few spots in their right week fall session. The session begins the week of September 17 and ends the week of November 16. Classes will run Tuesday through Thursday from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and will be limited to eight kids per session.

Children are placed in each class according to age, ability and availability. Miss Rebecca will consult with parents during the placement process. 

Class projects will be new & fun mediums including: acrylic painting, plaster & papier-mâché, pastels & watercolor instruction, sketching, drawing & charcoal, and collage & mixed media

3. Football travels to Dover, NH

The KP Football team will start the season on the road against Dover, NH at 7:00 p.m. The Warriors will try to better their performance from last year which saw them make it to the Division 2 semi-final game.

 

4. UMass Kicks Off at Gillette Stadium

The UMass Minutemen will have their first home game of the year at Gillette Stadium on September 8 at 3:30 p.m. vs. Indiana University.

 

5. Wrentham Day

Once again Wrentham Day will take place at Wrentham Common all day Saturday, September 8. The day will kick off at 10 a.m. with the Wrentham WRoad Race 5K and the day will continue with booths and music at the common.
