Baby/Toddler Playgroups at Fiske Public Library

Hello summer. It will be back, according to WHDH-TV. It will be a mix of sun and clouds with highs 77-82.

The Baby/Toddler Playgroups will be meeting Friday, Aug. 30, at Fiske Public Library at Sweatt Meeting Room. There will be two programs – Birth to pre-walkers with Mom, Dad or caregiver meet on Fridays at 9:30 a.m.. Toddlers (walkers) to ages 2 ½ with Mom, Dad or caregiver meet on Fridays at 10:30 a.m.  No registration required just drop in. If arriving before 10 a.m., please ring doorbell.

The Wrentham selectmen will be meeting Tuesday, Sept. 3, at 6:45 p.m. at town hall in the second floor conference room for the purpose of setting a Curb Cut Permit Fee of $50 for each Public Access Way Permit Application. All interested parties are invited to attend.

There will be a special election to vote to permit the operation of a gaming establishment, licensed by Massachusetts Gaming Commission, at Plainridge Racecourse. The election will take place at the Beatrice Wood Elementary School from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The first round of the Deutsche Bank Championship will be held today at the TPC-Boston in Norton. The top 100 golfers will be competing in the second leg of the FED-EX Cup with the championship round Monday.
