9/11 Memorial Ceremony to Take Place at Wrentham Town Hall

Boy Scouts Troop 131 is organizing a 9/11 memorial ceremony for Wednesday.

The ceremony will take place on the front lawn of Town Hall at 6:30 p.m. It will be near the monument Eagle Scout Troy Neubecker helped purchase from various donations.

"Myself and Troop 131 wanted to keep the ceremony as a remembrance of those who lost their lives on 9/11/01," Neubecker said.

The Xaverian student raised this money for his Eagle Scout project and unveiled the monument at last year's ceremony. The granite memorial, modeled after the World War II Memorial at Wrentham Common, stands 5’8” high and 9' wide and features a walkway with the names of the monument’s major sponsors engraved in the walkway. It cost about $20,000.
