5 Things: Alya Brown to Sing at RNC, Weekend Music, and More!

Here are the five things you need to know for August 25 and 26.

1. Weekend Weather Report

Accoring to the National Weather Service, Saturday should bring a partly sunny day with a high near 79 degrees. The mostly cloudy evening should bring a low around 59.

On Sunday, expect a sunny day with a high around 82 degrees. The forecast for the evening is partly cloudy with a low around 61.

2. Brown to Perform at the RNC

Wrentham native Alya Brown will be performaing at the Republican National Convention according to WBZ . Brown is currently scheduled to perform on August 29. Her father, Senator Scott Brown is currently not scheduled to have a speaking roll at the convention in Tampa.

3. Crafts and Vendor Fair at the Cracker Barrel Fairgrounds

The  will take place on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Cracker Barrel Fairgrounds on Emerald Street. This will be a large 50+ booths craft show with a few vendors as well. Their will be live belly dancers, and live music for this family fun day.

4. The Moonshine Music Series

This Saturday, the Moonshine Music Series takes over the White Barn Farm. Boston Music Award winners Girls Guns and Glory will headline the evening. The White Barn Farm is located at 458 South Street. Tickets can be purchased for $15.

5. Watch for traffic on Route 1 and 495

Day two of the New England Country Festival kicks off on Saturday as over 50,000 country music fans invade Gillette Stadium. Residents are remided that Patriots game day like traffic is expected on Route 1, 95, and 495.
