It's Thursday, August 20 and here are the five things you need to know!

According to the National Weather Service, Wrentham can expect another sunny day with a high around 83 degrees with a low of 59 degrees during the clear evening.

The 4 Paws Animal Shelter has announced that Miss Massachusetts Teen and Wrentham resident Caitlin O'Neill will be joining 4 Paws in their booth at Wrentham Day from 12 p.m to 2 p.m. on September 8. Caitlin is a supporter of animal causes and will help answer questions about their shelter building program. 4 Paws will also be offering organic homemade dog and cat treats.

3. Opening on the Town Government Study Committee

The newly formed Town Government Study Committee is looking for a new member who would have some background in Information Technology, Facilities Management and/or Human Resources. If you are interested in applying to the committee, fill out the form attached to the article and submit to the Board of Selectmen's office.

The Board hopes to make the appointment at the their September 4, 2012 meeting.

4. Smiles Mass Fundraiser

On Saturday, September 29th at 4:00 PM SMILE Mass will be presenting its Third Annual Amazing Race, but unlike previous years this year’s race will be held in Boston’s historic North End and Faneuil Hall sections.

With members from Wrentham, the team named Gary's Gang will be competing as part of the race.

5. Revolution Draw with Chivas USA

Despite getting a 3-0 lead, the New England Revolution could not hold on and had to settle for a 3-3 tie over Chivas USA. The Revs will be back in action on September 1 against the Philadelphia Union.
